The More You Simplify Your Life The More It Amplifies In The Area Which Truly Matter To You
The day I began my journey into minimalism I realized that simplification is not that simple. It takes a lot of thought, energy, and dedication to untangle a lump of woolen thread that is already filled with knots. You have to search for one end and begin slowly by opening up the knots and unraveling the thread. Once it is sorted only then you can wrap it up again in a neat ball.
So here are 10 simple ways to simplify your life.
1. To simplify your life the first thing you need to do is prioritize. Make a list of the most important things in your life. These are the areas where you want to amplify your life. Once you have these goals clear, your self-motivation levels would be extremely high and you will put in more effort in the right place rather than wasting your time on unimportant things.
2. Spend 10 minutes organizing and decluttering. So before you start your day list down the things you need to do, make ready the materials you will need, and declutter the unnecessary items from your workplace. This applies also to your personal goals.
3. Make your home your sanctuary. Make your home comfortable. Make it a place where you feel relaxed and calm. If there are things in your home that make you unhappy or gives you stress, remove them. If there is a requirement of certain things that will help you relax, bring them in. Your home should be the most comfortable place for you.
4. Eliminate toxic people from your life. When you eliminate people who make your life complicated, your life is simplified. So to simplify your life stay away from people who are disturbing your peace and if you can't then at least control their impact on your life.
5.Read motivating material. this is really very important. To stay motivated one of the best solutions that I have found is reading. It helps me take control of my internal motivation levels. Sometimes reading these materials is what makes me realize that life is extremely simple and we complicate it unnecessarily.
6. Focus on your mental health. To simplify your life it is important to understand the complexities of your thoughts and simplify them. Understanding your mental and emotional needs is very important. Introspect each day about how you feel and why. It all begins in your mind. What you give power to has power over you. Help yourself in simplifying your thoughts and keep your mind healthy as you do for your body.
7.Reduce the hypotheticals. " If this happened then that would happen which will make me feel this". this is the most complicated situation and to simplify your life you need to reduce these hypothetical situations that your mind creates. Dealing with facts in stressful situations will help you reduce your anxiety, stress, and sometimes also the resentment that you hold towards people.
8. Spend time with nature. When there is a lot of things going on in your mind taking a break and connecting to nature helps a lot to simplify your life. I, for example, keep taking little weekend breaks now and then to go on the hills and take little walks on those trails. I don't travel as a tourist and keep a list of places to tick on. I enjoy the peace these little walks give me. Touch the trees, smell the flowers and slow down your life once in a while to simplify your life. Connect yourself to nature.
9. Stop multi-tasking. I am not saying don't take up multiple projects but focus on one thing at one time. If while working on one thing your mind wanders off to the other that means you have a lot on your plate. So, simplify your life by avoiding multi-tasking
10 . Don't hesitate to ask for help. If things are complicated and you feel you cannot handle it alone then take help -from your family, friends, colleagues(if it is work-related), counselor, or a coach. Whatever you need help in don't hesitate to connect to someone who can help you simplify your life.
