9 Herbal Teas And Why You Must Have Them | Divya Toshniwal |
Tea for me was always the Indian version - The strong 'Adrak wali Chai' until I was introduced to the world of herbal teas. I could never imagine tea without milk, or ginger or sugar. Well, I still can't leave sugar but sometimes I replace it with honey.
It is said that tea as a beverage was introduced first in China but somehow the Indian in me isn't ready to accept it. But no matter who brought in the world the flavor of tea he is got to be my favorite person. The flavor of tea has evolved with time and new varieties kept adding to the list.
I was introduced to the world of herbal teas with 'Green tea' Mostly presented as a weight loss drink but has a lot of other benefits too. But for me, even green tea couldn't be how it is supposed to be. I made my green tea with ginger and honey. It was in itself tough to leave milk only.
The first time that I had herbal tea without ginger, sugar or milk was when a friend offered me Chamomile tea and there was no going back. Though I haven't left my favorite 'Adrak wali Chai' I do add in my routine a herbal tea as per my requirement.
